March Updates

March Updates

March is one of our favorite months at the Dyslexia Achievement Center! It brings Read Across America Day, Literacy Week, and is National Reading Month. They are all wonderful reminders of the importance of building strong literacy skills and a love of reading.

We were proud to sponsor two recent fun events: Explore STEAM Night with the Elmbrook Education Foundation, where students decoded emoji phrases to turn symbols into words, and the CESA 1 Regional Spelling Bee, which celebrated students’ hard work and dedication to building strong spelling and literacy skills.

We are excited to share some great progress from our students at the Seton Schools! In many areas, students have already exceeded our end-of-year score growth goals. In reading, we have surpassed our targets in letter sounds, short vowel single-syllable words, and phonemic awareness, with one-third of students meeting their year-end goals by January. In math, students have met or exceeded growth goals in all measured areas, and 33% of students also reached their year-end goals by January. Congratulations to our hardworking students and dedicated staff for these outstanding achievements!

Save the date: July 16, 2026 is our 2nd annual Golf Outing. Proceeds go to the Read and Succeed Project which creates scholarships for students with Dyslexia whose families cannot afford intervention and assessments. We would love to see our students, families, and community members there supporting this important cause. Please check out our website for tickets, additional information, and ways to be a sponsor!

Finally, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and support during our transition to the WellnessLiving platform. While this system will ultimately help streamline scheduling, communication, and payments for families, we recognize that the transition has had a few bumps along the way. We truly appreciate your understanding as we continue working to improve the experience for everyone.

As always, a heartfelt thank-you to our amazing staff for the dedication, care, and expertise they bring to supporting our students every day. We are so grateful for the work you do!
