Sara Bartz

Sara Bartz is a Certified Reading Specialist with 23 years experience giving intensive reading interventions in the 4K-8th grade setting. She also has 5 years experience as a Reading Aide and a Classroom Teacher in grades 3, 4, and 5.

Currently, Sara is branching out and teaching reading interventions in the high school setting for Title I. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Wisconsin’s original Teacher’s College and an Early Childhood Minor Degree from University of Wisconsin-Stout. After teaching in the classroom for 3 years, Sara went to Graduate School at Cardinal Stritch University and earned a Master of Arts in Reading and Language Arts with a Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist Certification. Sara has also taken additional graduate coursework on Understanding Students with Dyslexia and is trained in The Science of Reading.

Sara truly loves working with students in an intervention setting, especially one-on-one so that she can tailor the intervention to the specific needs of the child. She looks forward to helping students at the Dyslexia Achievement Center!

Sara is from Wauwatosa, is married with two college aged daughters, and enjoys adventures with her husband as empty nesters!
