Maura Jones Moyle received her B.S. in Anthropology and M.S. and Ph.D. in Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She studied under Susan Ellis Weismer in the Language Processes Laboratory at the Waisman Center focusing on children with specific expressive language delay and specific language impairment. She specializes in child language development and disorders, literacy, and linguistic and cultural diversity. She is especially interested in increasing the quality of education and outcomes for preschool children from urban, low-income communities. She is currently on the board of the Reading League of Wisconsin.
